2006 – The Beginning

Watermark was founded by Chad Christenson, a general contractor specializing in custom residential design and construction. After struggling to find a pool company that met his standards of quality and craftsmanship, Chad decided to create one of his own.

2011 – Building a Strong Team

As Watermark continued to grow, Chad welcomed Kraig and Matt Crossley to the team. With their experience in pool construction, Kraig focused on service and equipment repairs, while Matt concentrated on the finishing details that make each project exceptional. During this time, Vanessa Nissley also joined the team, bringing valuable experience in bookkeeping and office administration.

2015 – A New Chapter

When Chad relocated to Nashville in search of a more family-friendly environment, he entrusted Watermark to Kraig, Matt, and Vanessa. Confident in their dedication and abilities, Chad knew they would uphold the high standards of quality workmanship and customer service on which Watermark was built.

2020 – A New Generation of Leadership

Kraig, Matt, and Vanessa officially became the owners of Watermark, bringing their combined experience and expertise to the company's leadership. Today, each plays a vital role in its continued success:

  • Matt Crossley, COO – Oversees field operations and ensures projects meet Watermark's standards of quality and craftsmanship.

  • Vanessa Nissley, CFO – Manages the company's finances and office operations, keeping the business running smoothly behind the scenes.
